Visual
This Training event will consist of the following activities:
- Review the basic approach of managing production using a Visual Factory approach
- Facilitate the design of the communication requirements and KPI’s for the facility along with appropriate work cells.
- Select the appropriate metrics that support the KPI’s including mapping where and how the data will be retrieved.
Standard Work
Training consists of creating instructions in the “one best way” to complete assigned tasks and how to train employees effectively the first time.
- Ensures that all work is done according to the current best practice
When Standard Work is in place, each person who performs a task does it in the manner that is the best way to do it.
- Simplifies and speeds training and onboarding
When each task is documented and clearly defined, bringing on new employees and getting them up to speed is painless. There is no ambiguity, and the results are consistent, even with different trainers. - Improves quality and increases customer satisfaction
