About the Presenter

Michael R. Wholihan, Ed.D.

Michael is the Director of Supply Chain in consulting at the University of Pittsburgh’s
Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence, part of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Michael was an entrepreneur as a co-owner of a family business. A steadfast advocate for small business owners and entrepreneurship, Michael has spoken as a panel member at the U. S. Capitol Building for a Senate sub-committee on SBA financing. He presented at the ASBDC annual conference, and has published research focused on educating entrepreneurs. Michael has been the recipient of the Fostering Minority, Women, Veterans and Underserved Populations Award and the State Ambassador of the Year Award. Both recognition awards were for his work in economic development with small businesses.
