Rapid Tooling with Additive Manfacturing Training

This two-day intensive course offers participants an introduction to rapid tooling methods using 3D printing technologies. The curriculum covers both direct and indirect rapid tooling techniques, with hands-on activities utilizing relevant software tools. Participants will explore tooling for various manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, sand casting, room temperature vulcanization (RTV), as well as jig and fixture design through demonstrations and lab exercises. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate, including an online exam.

Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for technical personnel from small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, though it is open to individuals from companies of all sizes, including start-ups.

Key Takeaways

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand tooling design for various manufacturing processes
  • Apply rapid tool-making practices, both direct and indirect
  • Gain familiarity with multiple 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM) technologies, such as Binder Jetting, Stereolithography (SLA), and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
