Trainees that have graduated from our Operation Next welding training are looking for placement at regional manufacturing companies!
These trainees are either graduating from programs that took place at CCAC West Hills or Pittsburgh Technical College. Trainees had 140 hours in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) hands-on training including safe use of Oxy-fuel cutting and brazing equipment. Each candidate has passed their American Welding Society D 1.1 certification in the 1G (flat), 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical), and 4G (overhead) welding positions using the welded coupons (3/8” plate steel) x-rayed to validate successful certification.
The Operation Next Program features an accelerated, hybrid curriculum that combines virtual learning online through simulations and multimedia with hands-on, performance-based learning on real-world manufacturing equipment. Participants can choose one of three free training pathways:
