This course is designed with the ISO 19011 standard in mind and aims to introduce participants to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS) standard while preparing them to conduct effective internal audits. It covers the interpretation of QMS requirements, how to identify appropriate objective evidence to verify system implementation, and the role of audits in ensuring effectiveness. The course also explores the “human factor” in auditing, ethical considerations, and effective auditing techniques through case studies and practical exercises to reinforce key concepts.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and how it impacts their organization. The course provides techniques for gathering and evaluating objective evidence of QMS performance, equipping attendees to assess organizational compliance and produce concise audit reports. Through lectures, discussions, and practical examples, participants will learn how to assess the effectiveness of QMS through internal audits.
The course includes small team break-out sessions where participants will work together to complete two case studies and an exercise, simulating real-world audit situations to determine conformance or non-conformance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. This hands-on approach reinforces the skills needed to function as part of an audit team.
Participants will receive course materials, supplemental exercises, and a Certification of Attendance upon completion.
