Six Sigma Champion Training

Success with Six Sigma depends on trained “champions,” an echelon of managers, directors, and other executives who first select projects of strategic importance, then support the green belt and black belt practitioners who will complete them. This training is a mandatory step in the Catalyst Connection process because only the perspective it provides can overcome roadblocks that require strategic analysis or deep changes in corporate culture to address deep-seated problems.

Through practical, hands-on exercises, we teach candidates how to uncover root causes and introduce disciplined measurement. They learn:

  • What Six Sigma contributes to the attainment of strategic objectives
  • How to select and document projects
  • How to select and support practitioners
  • Why management commitment is key to successful deployment

Training topics

  • Project selection process and criteria
  • Green belt and black belt candidate selection criteria
  • Deployment success factors
  • Roles of management team and champions
  • Tools for green belts and black belts
  • Project review process
  • Project case studies
  • Hands-on exercises

Benefits

By providing green belts and black belts with direction, resources, and support, champions will enable your organization to:

  • Accelerate project completion
  • Prioritize projects based on potential results
  • Reduce key customer issues
  • Address subsequent projects continuously
